- Tell us about a healthcare program, within your practice.
The World Health Organization highlights crucial moments that require Hand Hygiene in a hospital setting. According to Lotfinejad et al. (2021), these moments include; before contacting a patient, primary and antiseptic tasks, after exposure to fluid body risk, after contacting a patient, and after contacting a patient’s surroundings. I noted many things that can be done before, during, and after a work schedule in a hospital to promote Hand Hygiene and prevent or reduce HAIs. Therefore, I suggest a program called “Clean In-Clean Out Campaign.” The program aims at ensuring that healthcare providers are trained on the importance of cleaning their hands before attending to every patient and after attending to the patient. The program also creates awareness among patients that it is okay to ask healthcare providers
